Jadwiga
Kowalik a fait ses études au Conservatoire de Cracovie. Dans les
années 90, elle est partie à Paris pour faire un stage dans le domaine de la
chanson, Elle a suivi des cours au prestigieux Conservatoire Mobel dirigé
par Alice Dona. A Paris, elle a fait connaissance du compositeur Norbert
Chiche. Grâce à la coopération avec lui. elle a enregistré en France un
télédisque intitulé Cracovie. Elle a participé aux Marchés des disques du
MIDEM à Cannes et elle a pris part au Festival International de La Chanson
à Sopot, Ensuite, dans le cadre de la promotion du télédisque, elle a
participé à de nombreux programmes télévisés et elle a préparé un récital
de la chanson française. Jadwiga Kowalik est retourné en France sur
l'invitation du musicien, Gilles
Pellegrini, C'est à cette occasion qu'elle a fait connaissance des chansons
dc Barbara. A partir de ce moment. Jadwiga Kowalik, fascinée par cette artiste, chante les chansons du
répertoire de Barbara. La mort de Barbara en 1997 a été pour Jadwiga
Kowalik une impulsion pour préparer un récital consacré à
l'œuvre de l'artiste. C'est ainsi que le spectacle intitulé BARBARA est né.
Chacune des 12 chansons présentées pendant le spectacle est précédée
d'un court texte, la confession de Barbara, qui introduit le public au
climat de la chanson, L'avant-premiére de ce spectacle
a eu lieu à Cracovie au Théâtre Ludowy. Ce spectacle a été également présenté a Varsovie au Théâre Rampa et
actuellement il est présenté dans de nombreux théâtres et établissements
culturels en Pologne.

Kowalik a graduate from Cracow Academy
of Music. In 90's she gets a
scholarship to a prestigious "Conservatoire Mobel" led by Alice Done,
Paris.In Paris Jadwiga Kowalik meets a composer Norbert Chiche. The results
of their cooperation was making a video clip to a song Cracovie, Jadwiga's
participation in the Record Fair MIDEM
in Cannes and also her appearance during the International Song Festival in
Sopot, Poland. At the same time, during the promotion of the video clip,she
takes part in numerous TV programmes and prepares a serious recital of
French songs. After some time, Gilles Pellegrini invites Jadwiga Kowalik to
France once more. Just then Jadwiga became acquinted with BARBARA's songs.
From this moment on, being so much fascinated by BARBARA, Jadwiga works on
the songs from her repertoire. The death of BARBARA in 1997 was for Jadwiga
an impuls to prepare a performance devoted to her works under the title
Barbara. Each of the included in the recital twelve songs is preceded by
BARBARA's "confession" which creates the special climat. The whole
performance (both songs and texts) is in French. Polish audience is given a
translation. The premiere of Barbara took place in Cracow in Ludowy Theatre.
It was also presented several times in Warsaw in
Rampa
Theatre and presently
it is being shown in various theatres and other cultural institutions all

look for individual style and undeniable success during song festivals (Opole,
Wrocław, Olsztyn) Then there were Paris, Sopot and Marie Laforet's songs.
All this only confirmed the success forseen by Aleksander Bardini. Finally,
in the mid-nineties Jadwiga Kowalik discovered BARBARA. The result of this
fascination is, charming in its atmosphere, performance entitled Barbara.
The performance is very personal and consists, among others, of the
following songs: Vol de Nuit, A mourir pour mourir, Marienbad, Gottingen, Le
ciel de Nantes. Before each song the audience can listen to BARBARA's
"confession" This one hour's performance, a little pearl of Cracow singer,
is very well received by the audience which can feel a live contact with the
deceased BARBARA.

Une école instrumentale et vocale solide, une inquiétude artistique qui lui
impose ses propres recherches, des succés incontestables aux festivals de la chanson (Opole,
Wrocław, Olsztyn). Ensuite viennent : Paris, Sopot et 1'enregistrement de la chanson de Marie Laforet qui
confirme le talent prédit par Alexandre Bardini.
Finalement, dans la moitié des années 90, c'est la découverte de Barbara.
Suite à cette fascination pour ses chansons, nous pouvons admirer le spectacle intitulé
BARBARA qui nous enchante par son climat extraordinaire.
Ce spectacle qui est trés personnel se compose des plus belles chansons de
Barbara comme
par exemple: "Vol de nui",
"A mourir pour mourir",
"Marienbad",
"Göttingen",
"Le
ciel de Nantes". La confession pénétrante de Barbara s'entremêle avec ses chansons.
Le public absorbe ce spectacle d'une heure, cette mini-perle de 1'artiste
cracovienne, en retenant son souffle et s'en va ébloui tout en ayant
l'impression d'avoir eu
le contact direct avec 1'artiste décédée.

wyjeżdża na stypendium piosenkarskie do Paryża. Uczęszcza do prestiżowego
„Conservatoire Mobel” prowadzonego przez
Alice Dona. W Paryżu poznaje kompozytora
Norberta Chiche. Wynikiem współpracy z nim jest nagranie we Francji
teledysku do piosenki pt. „Cracovie”, udział w targach płytowych
MIDEM w Cannes, a także
występ na międzynarodowym Festiwalu Piosenki w Sopocie. Równocześnie w
ramach promocji teledysku bierze udział w licznych programach
telewizyjnych, a także przygotowuje obszerny recital piosenek francuskich.
Na zaproszenie muzyka Gilles Pellegrini J. Kowalik wyjeżdża
ponownie do Francji. Spotyka się wówczas z twórczością
BARBARY. Od tej chwili
zafascynowana NIĄ opracowuje piosenki z jej repertuaru.
Śmierć BARBARY – w 1997r. stanowi dla J. Kowalik impuls do
przygotowania recitalu poświęconego jej twórczości.Tak powstaje spektakl
muzyczno – estradowy pt. „BARBARA”.Każdą z 12-stu zawartych w nim piosenek
poprzedza krotki tekst – „spowiedź” BABARY, wprowadzający równocześnie ich
klimat. Całość (teksty i piosenki) prezentowana jest w języku francuskim.
Dla polskiej publiczności teksty podawane są w języku polskim. Prapremiera
spektaklu odbyła się w Krakowie na scenie Teatru Ludowego. Kilkakrotnie
spektakl ten prezentowany był w Warszawie w Teatrze
Rampa,
a obecnie przedstawiany jest w licznych teatrach i instytucjach
kulturalnych w Polsce.
